International photo exhibition – Spring 2018
“Photography is an art of teleporting the past into the future” – Mehmet Murat Ildan (Turkish writer).
For photographers, time is animportant concept. A photograph is a moment frozen in time, but its meaning changes in the future and the photo itself becomes part of the past. Photography is two hundred years old now. During these centuries, the looks of the photographs have changed. When we see a photograph, we instinctly place it into some point in time. Brown, black and whiteare old, colour photographs are new. Sometimes we are right, sometimes wrong.We asked photographers if they could use their camera as timemachine. If they could give us a feeling of displacement in time, simply by showing us their photographic work. Are photographers able to surprise us byusing old techniques capturing modern day subjects, or, on the contrary, using modern techniques but in a strange, timeless, old fashioned manner? Can they combine old and new, making the future? This exhibition will be about time – past, present and future. The exposition shows our selection from the works. Guest curator was Jeroen de Wijs. He is a dedicated collodionphotographer, and instructor at the Willem de Kooning Academie, Rotterdam.

Elisabeth exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair (AAF) in Amsterdam october 2021. The fair for affordable contemporary art with a variety of works of art from more than 65 local, national and international galleries.

Juror’s pick
My image ‘Soul’ has been selected by Juror Dan Burkholder as a Juror’s selection in the Black and White 2020 competition, made possible by New York Center for Photographic Art. With 1700 images submitted this is an achievement I am proud of.

Virtueel naar werk Elisabeth Greve
Hier kun je een kijkje nemen naar mijn werk – virtueel en 3D – zoals ik dat presenteerde op de ADAF in oktober. Stand Elisabeth Greve ADAF 2020 Het was zo fijn om zoveel mensen life te inspireren! En hopelijk ook mogelijk op deze manier. Geniet ervan.
Van 19 t/m 26 oktober hangen er enkele werken van mij in ‘t Singer bij Anna Singer Art. Gezamenlijk met zo’n 25 andere kunstenaars. Om vervolgens de wanden in ‘t Gooi te verfraaien en inwoners te verblijden.
Van harte uitgenodigd om mijn werken te komen bezichtigen.

Verstilde beelden | Stilled Statues
Kun je in Coronatijd je creativiteit aanboren? Dat is een vraag die ik regelmatig krijg. Het antwoord is: Ja. Dit komt doordat deze tijd zorgt voor veel gevoelens die ik om kan zetten naar foto’s. Deze serie staat metafoor voor mijn gevoelens over de inperking van mijn vrijheid. Niet in staat om helemaal mezelf te zijn.
Deze ‘beelden’ heb ik half maart gemaakt toen ik nog in Valencia was klaar om ‘Las Fallas’, het jaarlijkse feest der feesten, te gaan vieren. Met vuurwerk, optochten, kraampjes en honderden beelden door de stad. Tenminste dat was de bedoeling. Helaas breidde ‘t Coronavirus zich verder uit en werd van de ene op de andere dag alles afgelast en stil gezet. En daar stonden de beelden die tot leven hadden moeten komen onuitgepakt, verstild, als vastgevroren te staan.
Met deze beelden ben ik winnaar geworden in in the 15th Julia Margaret Cameron Award. Sectie Professionals | Category cellphone. 910 fotografen uit 63 landen hebben 6.875 foto’s ingestuurd die werden geselecteerd door het team van de Worldwide Photography Gala Awards en gejureerd door Elisabeth Avedon.

Can you be creative these days? That’s a question I regularly get. The answer is yes. This is because this corona time creates varying feelings. This series is a metaphor for my feelings about the restriction of my freedom. Unable to be completely myself.
I took these photos mid-March when I was still in Valencia ready to celebrate Las Fallas, the annual festival of celebrations. With fireworks, parades, stalls and hundreds of statues through the city. At least that was the intention. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus expanded further and everything was canceled and stopped overnight. And there stood the statues that should have come to life unpacked, stilled, as if frozen.
With these images I became a winner in the 15th Julia Margaret Cameron Award. Sectie Professionals | Category cellphone.
